What quality do you value most in a friend?
Loyalty discretion & honesty are the values I hold most dear in a friend . The fact if I say something in confidence it is kept in confidence and not tittle tattled around – discretion is key and in return I offer the same.
I like a friend I can laugh with till we cry and to just be myself. Someone non judgemental and not afraid to speak their mind
I don’t have a lot of friends , I value quality over quantity.

What jobs have you had?
My very first job was at 14 selling ice lollies and soft drinks in the pop shop in a local pub. My elder brother worked there and he got me the job.
I trained to be a nanny and whilst I was at college worked behind the bar at a local hotel for a couple of years leaving when I got a full
Time nannying position . I loved the job but the money and hours were
Appalling so decided to go a work for BNFL, a civil service type job . It was the sort of job where you were set for life, good pay good pension but boring as hell !!
My dad had a job as an estate agency manager but couldn’t get weekends cover so I helped him out … and fell in love with property – the start of a very long love affair ! After I few months I left the boring clerical job and got a full time position in a local estate agency, in warrington where I lived . When that closed down I took the opportunity to travel and become a holiday rep in Tenerife and then Gran Canaria which was character building to say the least . It was the first time I had been abroad apart from a school trip so taught me a lot about myself and how to stand up for myself ‘ After a year of that I returned to the uk and continued into estate agency, working my way up to branch manager with a handful of awards to my name . I still maintain estate agency is the best most interesting job. You meet such a wide range of people and a massive variation of properties . It keeps you on your toes.
After few years I married and had children and worked in my now ex husbands law firm doing probate and accounts whilst at the same time renovating houses and renting them out.
After my divorce I decided to take things easier and now resell
Online with my other half Lance . It fits in with our life and lets us chose our hours and holidays !!!
Do you practice religion?
Do I practice religion ? In the traditional way as into going to church no .. in the way I live, by the Ten Commandments yes .. do as thy would be done by etc.
I think there is a difference between religion and church going .. I personally have know someone who stated he was religious, would go to church, preach etc and was the most unkind selfish person I have known . It’s actions and what you do day to day that counts .. not going to church to show people what a “good person” you are .
I think when facing death or loss we like to believe there is a god in some format according to your religion as no one wants to think when you die .. that is it .. I think it’s nicer to believe that all the people and animals you have lost are up there together having a great time and watching over you .
I find it hard to assimilate how people can start wars , fight etc in the name of the religion . It’s a massive contradiction. People are entitled to their owns views and beliefs and I respect that .. but don’t ram it down people’s throats and live your life in a respectful and peaceful way

Do you remember life before the internet?
I remember life before the internet .. people used to talk and read books !! Life was a slower pace. People cared about each other, they had conversations with the neighbours and had time for to check in.
I remember seeing it for the first time when you would dial it up and hear it ringing through the modem . It was like something out of Star Trek ! How could all this information come through a telephone ??
The internet has changed society .. not always for the good . It has created a throwaway society and people out for that quick dopamine rush. Old fashioned values such where the family would sit around the table has decreased and kids don’t read books, they scroll. I remember drying flowers as a child, making book marks and perfume out of petals . Games of make believe
There are the good features of the internet – knowledge is at our fingertips, we can shop online, research on line and it is an unbelievable source of research
But I miss the simplicity of life before it, not every event was filmed, no showing off what fabulous holiday you could afford, life was more real and authentic .. I miss those days!

What are you good at?
I’m good at trying! I don’t have skills I wish I had like being able to sing beautifullly, dance or paint – it must be wonderful to be have natural talent and be able improve on that . I can’t sing for toffee , have dreadful co-ordination and always have and my drawing skills extend to stick men!! When my girls were younger school craft projects were a nightmare and in fairness I could have made them and passed them off as there’s my talent is so immense !!
I am loving, I suppose that’s the greatest talent and I’m a mother lion who protects her pack even though they are in their 20’s.
What I do have is determination, I give everything my best shot and I’m fairly good at looking at a room and making it wow, which came in handy when I was renovating and renting houses.
So I would say you don’t have to be amazing at everything, just try your best at everything you do and you can’t go far wrong xx

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?
To me it means peace . To be happy in one’s self, confident in who you are and being able to not let anyone upset your inner peace. Material things mean nothing it’s love compassion and treating others how I would want to be treated myself and not letting the behaviour of others change who I am.
Is it attainable .. yes it is but sometimes hard work . Be true to yourself and you can’t go far wrong xx
