Mexico does not wave goodbye politely.
It stays in your skin.
In the salt on your shoulders.
In the last warm night.
In the airport silence, when the bags are packed and the tan is fading before you have even left.

Mexico was one of them.
Leaving after a holiday like this is strange. You look back at the places, the colours, the food, the warmth, the people, the moments that felt almost too beautiful to be real, and you think: Did we really do that? Were we really privileged enough to experience all of this?
There is a kind of internal blessing in that feeling. A quiet knowing. A gratitude that does not need to be shouted, because you can feel it lighting up your whole world from within.
And when you experience it while holding the hand of your soul partner, it means even more. The memory is no longer only yours. It becomes something you carry together: proof that you were there, that you saw it, that you felt it, and that life opened up for you both in a way you will never forget.
That is the wonder of travel. Not only seeing somewhere new, but being reminded that the world is broader, deeper and more meaningful than you realised.
You leave with photographs, videos and stories. But more than that, you leave with a feeling: the true knowledge that, somewhere in this vast world, you were lucky enough to live a moment that changed you.

We may return home with photographs and small tokens, with sand hidden in our shoes and sun still lingering in our thoughts. Yet the finest souvenir is less visible. It is the deep, broad, meaningful knowledge that the world remains full of marvels.
